Gravestone inscription:
1846 Erected by ROBERT CARGILL fisherman in Auchmithie and his spouse JEAN SWANKIE in memory of their daughter CATHERINE who died June 25th 1828 aged 4 years. Their other children viz JEAN, JANET, MARGARET, AGNES and ELIZABETH survive this date. The aboveROBERT CARGILL died 10th April 1865 aged 78 years. The above JEAN SWANKIE died 9 February 1878 aged 89 years.
